This is me, Henrieta, your guide making sure you have the best experience you possibly can so I made this website, where you will find all the info, suggestions, curated collections - all in one place. It is far from being finished, but you can already find WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO SEE, WHAT TO EAT, WHAT TO BUY and WHAT TO READ. Think of it as Sagrada Familia, always worth to come back, see the progress and enjoy Barcelona while you're there.
I come from small town in Slovakia and I always wanted to discover the world and aftere living in 5 different countries First time I visited Barcelona in 2007, a trip that I won with my art class and I came here for 2 weeks only to make photographs. I was always juggling between being an artist and scholar and even though I pursued studying politics in the Hague, I never forgot the feeling Barcelona has left me with. You know what I am talking about once you visit. On this trip it was also a first time when I heard the story of Santa Eulàlia, a patron saint of Barcelona, who died under romans in 3rd century for her undenying faith, which lead me adopt Eulàlia as a my christian name at my confirmation so coming to live here 10 years later feels like a full circle moment.
For my Bachelor's degree I moved to the Hague in the Netherlands, did exchange at Università degli Studi di Padova studying politics and international relations before moving for my internship in London UK, where I stayed working till 2018. The hustle-bustle of London did not feel like a dream and so when my best friend from Italy asked if I wanted to move with her to Barcelona I did not hesitate. When the rest of the world was stuck in pandemic I had the whole city to myself discovering every nook and cranny and when the boarders opened every old friend or distant relative wanted to visit me.
One thing about me - I am very obsessive about people's holidays. I would prepare detailed itineraries, routes and stories and it was actually my history loving uncle who said I would be an amazing tourguide. As soon as I gave it a chance as a freelancer it quickly turn to full-time job for me in 2023 and since then I did over 1000 tours.
I studied international relations, history, languages thinking I would leave an impact on the world through some big organisations only to find out out that by speaking directly to people from all around the world about history, geopolitics, culture and traditions we learn to be more open-minded, accepting and inspired for more united and peaceful world.
I do not only want to show you nice sights, monuments and attractions. I really want you to experience this rich culture, understand the genius of Gaudí and the nature, understand what Catalan people go through, understand the history, the contexts and relate it to your life too so that you leave Barcelona not only entertained, but also educated and inspired in your life.
